Sumitra Dorner LICSW, has over 30 years experience in mental health; no space after LICSW. She has counseled many Suboxone patients.

Ms. Dorner graduated with a BA in psychology from Hamline University and a Masters Degree in Social Work from St. Thomas University. She has the top licensure in her career field.

She has worked in all types of settings and with a varied population; residential, outpatient, children and adolescents, community; in home, adoption, and adults and elderly.

Ms. Dorner uses these therapeutic modalities; CBT, client centered, problem resolution/solution, good listener, empathic and compassionate therapist, familiar in working with the adoption triad and its issues; adoptee, adoptive families, and birth parents, familiar with motivational interviewing techniques, and is familiar with DBT skills.

She is culturally aware and sensitive to POC and LGBT. Is non biased and has an open and welcoming approach with clients.
